Laura Carlin
Laura Carlin left school at sixteen to work in retail banking and it was only after leaving her job to write full-time that she discovered her passion for storytelling and exploring pockets of history through fiction.

Kate McNaughton
Kate McNaughton was born and raised in Paris and now lives in Berlin. She read English and European Literature at Cambridge and filmmaking at the European Film College in Denmark. As well as a writer, she is also a documentary maker and translator.

Elizabeth Reeder
Elizabeth K Reeder is a Chicago native now living in Scotland. She writes novels, essays and stories, and also writes for the radio. She is fascinated by things we build and dismantle (houses, identity, family, community) and how we write about them.

Pippa Beecheno
Pippa has a first class degree in English Literature from the University of St Andrews, and an MA in Social Anthropology from the SOAS, University of London. After university, she worked as a Community Development Manager for various charities.

Michael Langan
Michael Langan works as a freelance editor, writing mentor and teacher, and also facilitates creative writing and critical reading workshops. He studied English in the 1980s, Cultural History in the 1990s and, in 2005, was awarded a PhD in Creative Writing from Liverpool John Moores University.
