Emmy Nominations 2018!

The 2018 Emmy nominations are upon us. The nominees for the 70th annual Primetime Emmy Awards were announced today and we are delighted to have a wealth of UA clients’ nominated!

Matthew Rhys receives his second nomination for his portrayal as Philip Jennings in The Americans in the Outstanding Lead Actor category, making this his fourth nomination in total. The Americans is also nominated for Outstanding Drama Series.

Also nominated in the Outstanding Drama Series category is Game Of Thrones starring Kit HaringtonRichard DormerDavid Bradley and Aisling Franciosi, The Crown, with Philip Martin directing the opening episodes and starring Daniel IngsMartin MarquezLizzy McInnerny and James Garnon and Westworld, starring Talulah Riley.

Late Late Show With James Corden and its specials are nominated in an astounding 11 categories, including best Variety Talk.

Nominations for Limited Series include; The Alienist with Luke Evans as the crime reporter John Moore, Lewin LloydFreddie StewartDaisy Bevan, Joe Bone and Lewis McGowan. Director of Photography Gavin Struthers and Movement Director/Choreographer Alex Reynolds for the second block, with the third episode edited by Nick Arthurs; Genius: Picasso starring Tom Cullen, Clemence Poesy, James Garnon, Alex Hassell, Johnny Flynn and Aisling Franciosi, and Patrick Melrose with Celia Imrie, Nancy Crane, Georgia Maguire, Elizabeth BerringtonMargaret Clunie​ and with Director of Photography by James Friend BSC.

In the Outstanding Comedy Series, Barry with Anthony Carrigan and GLOW with Marianna Palka are both nominated.

Selina MacArthur gains her first Emmy nomination for Outstanding Single-Camera Picture Editing For A Limited Series Or Movie, for her work on Black Mirror: USS Callister.

The winners will be announced at the ceremony on 17 September 2018.
