EE BAFTA Film Nominations

Nominations have been announced for the 2019 BAFTA Film Awards and we’re thrilled to have a host of UA clients nominated.

Fresh from her Golden Globe Best Actress win, Olivia Colman is nominated for Best Leading Actress, for her portrayal of Queen Anne in The Favourite. The Favourite is up for a mammoth 12 awards, including Best Film and Outstanding British Film, the film also stars, Luke Thallon, Timothy Innes and stunning hair and make-up design by Nadia Stacey. Nadia also gains a nomination for best Make-up and Hair for her stunning work on the film. 

Jessie Buckley is up for the EE Rising Star Award (Voted for by the public, so click here to vote)

Beast is nominated for Outstanding British film, starring Johnny Flynn, Jessie BuckleyShannon TarbetOlwen Fouere and Claire Rafferty, which was edited by Maya Maffiloi, and Hair & Make-up Designer by Nadia Stacey. 

Also up for Outstanding British film is Bohemian Rhapsody, starring Lucy BoyntonTom HollanderBruce MacKinnonDermot Murphy, hair and make-up design by Jan Sewell, with Sound Editing by Jens Rosenlund Petersenand Jeff Pope's Stan & Ollie starring Elizabeth Bennett​, with Director of Photography Laurie Rose BSC, Hair and Make-up design by Jeremy Woodhead​and Barbara Berkery as Dialect coach to Shirley Henderson and Steve Coogan. Jan Sewell and Jeremy Woodhead​ both earned nominations for best Make-Up and hair Design, for their incredible work the films respectively. 

Isle Of Dogs is nominated for Best Animated film, with cinematography by Tristan Oliver BSCBohemian Rhapsody, is also up for best Sound, with Sound Editing by Jens Rosenlund Petersen.

Huge congratulations to all nominees. The winners will be announced at this years ceremony at the Royal Albert Hall in London on 10 February.
