WhatsOnStage Award Nominations 2019

The nominations for the 19th annual WhatsOnStage awards have been announced, with UA clients receiving multiple nominations. 

In the category for Best Actor in A Play, Colin Morgan is nominated for his role in Translations.

Katherine Parkinson is nominated for Best Actress In a Play for her performance in Home, I'm Darling 

Up for Best Supporting Actress in a Play, is Debra Gillett for The Madness Of King George III

Milly Thomas' incredible one woman show, Dust, in which she writes and stars in is up for both the Best New Play and Best Off-West End Production. Also up for Best Off-West End Production is The Rink, with choreography by Fabian Aloise

In the Best Play Revival category is; Summer and Smoke, with Nancy Crane, The Madness of George III, which is Directed by Adam Penford and stars Debra Gillett, Jack Holden with Casting by Stuart Burt CDG and Movement by Lizzi Geeand Translations with Colin MorganDermot Crowley with music by Stephen Warbeck and Lighting Design by Neil Austinand The Lieutenant of Inishmore with Sound Design by Adam Cork and Lighting Design by Neil Austin

Hamilton gained a mammoth 12 nods, including Best New Musical, with Obioma Ugoala.

Up for Best Musical Revival is Little Shop of Horrors with Choreography by Lizzi Gee and Casting by Stuart Burt CDGLizzi is also nominated for Best Choreography for her work on the production. 

Neil Austin gains a nomination for Best Lighting Design for his work on Company.

Nominated in the Best Regional Production category is Death of a Saleman, with Ashley Zhangazha and Lighting Design by Jack Knowles, and The Madness of George III, which is Directed by Adam Penford and stars Debra GillettJack Holden with Casting by Stuart Burt CDG and Movement by Lizzi Gee.

Up for Best West End Show is the critically acclaimed Everybody's Talking About Jamie, with Associate Musical Director Bob Broad. Company is nominated for Best Musical Revival with Lighting Design by Neil Austin

Finally, The Inheritance, starring Syrus Lowe and Sound Design by Paul Arditti and The Jungle, with Rachel Redford and Ben Turner are both up for Best Show Poster. 

 

Congratulations to all nominees! The Awards concert will take place on 3 March 2019 at the Prince of Wales Theatre.
