We are delighted that LA FRACTURE (Editions Tristram) - the French edition of Nina Allan's novel THE RIFT (Titan Books) - has been longlisted for both the Prix Médicis étranger and the Prix Femina étranger 2019! The former was established in 1958 to recognise authors ‘whose fame does not yet match their talent’ and the latter was established in 1904 and is decided each year by an exclusively female jury. THE RIFT was selected for the Guardian's list of the best science fiction and fantasy novels on its publication in 2017.

'It begins as a mystery: Selena and Julie, two teenage sisters in Manchester, England, grow up sharing a love of fantasy worlds, until Julie drifts off into other interests and finally disappears entirely, possibly the victim of a serial killer. Twenty years later, she suddenly reappears
— but is it the real Julie, or an impostor?' Chicago Tribune

The winner will be announced in November.
