Emma Cline is shortlisted for the Sunday Times Audible Short Story Award 2019

Congratulations to Emma Cline, whom we represent on behalf of The Clegg Agency (New York), on being shortlisted for this year's Sunday Times Audible Short Story Award 2019 - the 10th anniversary of the prize - for her story 'What Can You Do With A General'. Originally published in The New Yorker, the story is a deeply affecting portrait of an ageing man reflecting on the way he has treated his wife and children over the years. As the family gathers for Christmas in California, dark undercurrents hint at past violence and abuse.
