Éimi is a playwright and screenwriter from Scotland, based in Glasgow. Her debut play “The Funeral Club” was a huge critical success, receiving glowing reviews from various publications including The Scotsman. Éimi is currently developing the play for screen with Synchronicity Films.
In 2023 she was chosen for by The Playwright Studio Scotland for their 2023 mentorship, where she was able to write her second play “Skelf”.
Her earlier play "Dookin’ Oot" was performed across Scotland as part of A Play, A Pie and A Pint’s Spring Season 2025, earning critical acclaim. Reviews, including those from The Scotsman and The List, heralded the play as 'razor-sharp and brilliantly observed', and 'laugh out loud funny'.
Most recently, her play "Hauns aff ma haunted bin!", also produced within the A Play, A Pie and A Pint programme at Òran Mór, became the highest‑selling show in the series - a success highlighted in the Guardian. She was also honoured with the Scottish Emerging Theatre Artist Award (SETA) in its second year.
Éimi’s work uses her natural Glaswegian wit to tackle poignant subjects, often from a personal standpoint.
