Lawrie is a writer for film and TV. In film, he co-wrote Jan-Ole Gerster’s third feature ISLANDS, which premiered at Berlinale 2025 and his script YESTERDAY TOMORROW TODAY placed in the top three of the Brit List. In TV, he is developing an eclectic slate with companies including Big Talk, Kindle Entertainment and Rabbit Track Pictures.

Current projects include a mystery thriller about police divers, a comedy-drama about stalker rehabilitation, and yet another rom com about time travel. Lawrie is an alumnus of the BBC Pilot drama scheme, Torino FilmLab, and a recipient of the John Brabourne Award.

Born and raised in Manchester, he now lives in London, and is known for writing that blends genres to confront audiences with different ways of seeing.
