A tribute to Oliver Emanuel

Oliver Emanuel’s tender and tense psychological thriller about love, loss and the mirror-verse A CLOSE APPROXIMATION OF YOU will be airing on BBC Radio 4 tomorrow at 3pm. Oliver very tragically died on 19^th December 2023 at the age of 43, and A CLOSE APPROXIMATION OF YOU is being aired again in his memory.

Oliver was a brilliant playwright, whose body of work encompasses 9 stage plays and 20 radio plays. He was kind, energetic, and particularly dedicated to creating nuanced and emotionally rich work for children and young people. He was loved and highly valued by all those lucky enough to work with him, and he is fondly remembered by his agent here Giles Smart who is tremendously proud to have represented him.
