Michelle Hodgson is a writer, event organiser and presenter, and Director of the Huddersfield Literature Festival. Born in Brighton and raised in Derby, Michelle studied French and History of Art at the University of Leicester before moving to London for a career as a book publicist. She later worked as a national newspaper sub-editor, a copywriter and a feature writer, with extended times abroad in the Caribbean and West Africa. She featured in the Independent on Sunday’s Happy List for her work with the award-winning Huddersfield Literature Festival, which she has run since 2013. Michelle lives in West Yorkshire with her partner and a feisty ginger cat.
