Lawrie is a writer for TV and film. His feature script YESTERDAY TOMORROW TODAY placed in the top three on the Brit List and he is developing an eclectic slate with companies including Kindle Entertainment, Rabbit Track Pictures, and Augenschein Filmproduktion.
Current projects include a six-part mystery thriller about police divers searching the Lake District for an unidentified murder victim, a comedy-drama about stalker rehabilitation, and a rom com about a thirtysomething who finds a portal to the past and begins an exciting affair with a younger man – her husband, before they first met.

Lawrie is a participant in the 2023 BBC Pilot drama scheme, an alumnus of Torino FilmLab, and a recipient of the John Brabourne Award. Past films have played at the London Film Festival, the Austin Film Festival and Palm Springs.

Born and raised in Manchester, he now lives in London, and is known for writing that blends genres to confront audiences with different ways of seeing.
