Helen Erichsen has an academic background in sociology, psychology and criminology. She is married to bridge professional Espen Erichsen and is an accomplished player in her own right who has represented England several times. The two of them also have a very successful bridge partnership together.

Her debut novel was borne out of insomnia. In the middle of the night, when she couldn’t sleep, Helen would create characters and plot lines inside her head. Finally during the second lockdown of 2020 she decided to start writing some of them down. The result is a compelling psychological thriller in which bridge plays a small but essential part.

When she isn’t writing, teaching or playing bridge, Helen can generally be found in the garden.
