I am a public historian specialising in the history of gender and medicine. I hold a PhD in history from King's College London, following postgraduate degrees in France and Italy and undergraduate studies in Brazil. I am the creator of Living History, a YouTube channel and blog dedicated to rigorous historical storytelling. My general research interests are cultural history and feminism, and my writing has appeared in publications including History Extra, Epoch magazine, and Wellcome Stories. I frequently speak at academic conferences, public events, and podcasts, and I host a feminist reading group, called My Body, My Book Club, which focuses on bodily autonomy and raises funds for charities, in collaboration with The Vavengers, a charity working to eradicate gender-based violence.
