Alexandra Masters is a freelance editor and journalist. She has written book reviews for the Guardian, the Observer, the Times Literary Supplement and The Economist, among others, and was previously a judge for the Guardian's Not the Booker prize. She is the founding editor of the literary website BookSmoke.

Alexandra has a degree in English Literature from Royal Holloway (University of London). She lives in London with her partner, daughter, son, and an obscene amount of second-hand books.
