Tom Chivers is a writer and publisher. He is the author of two pamphlets and two full collections of poetry to date, and is director of the independent press Penned in the Margins. In 2008 he was the Bishopsgate Institute's first writer in residence, and in 2012 he worked with climate arts organisation Cape Farewell to make ADRIFT, an exploration of the urban environment through poetry, creative non-fiction and performance. The project culminated in a series of audio walking tours along two of London's lost rivers, which were commissioned by Bishopsgate Institute and Southbank Centre and sold out within days. They were reprised for the Thames Festival in 2014 and 2015. Chivers is currently an Associate Artist of the National Centre for Writing.

His first nonfiction book, London Clay, will be published by Transworld.
