'Spencer Jones’ mix of prop comedy, songs, stand-up and clowning combine to make a very special hour of non-stop laughs.'' The Skinny ✭✭✭✭

'This show is a work of art that rejoices in pointlessness, and I cared about it very much.' ★★★★ The Telegraph

'Jones creates a world of artfully anchored absurdity unlike any other you might know.' ★★★★ The Times

'A rambling, silly, and very funny show packed with laughs and unexpected left turns.' ★★★★ Broadway Baby

'It surely won’t be long before Jones joins the likes of fellow surrealists Vic Reeves and Noel Fielding in having his own gallery exhibitions...The momentum of the show is crucial, and he rattles through the sillies... but the delight in his face at showing off his work is infections.' ★★★★ Chortle

Spencer is a comedian, actor, and writer, who has been nominated for both the Edinburgh Comedy Award and multiple BAFTAs. He will soon be seen starring as Leslie Winner in the 6 part BBC One comedy, MISTER WINNER.

In late 2019, Spencer features on HARRY HILL'S CLUB NITE on Channel 4. Watch his hilarious set here

His BBC Comedy Short, THE MIND OF HERBERT CLUNKERDUNK, which he both starred in and wrote, received rave reviews and a BAFTA nomination for Best Short Form Programme. Watch it here. Following the success of the short, the BBC commissioned a four part series of THE MIND OF HERBERT CLUNKERDUNK. The series airs on BBC Two in August 2019, and is available now to view on iPlayer. The show has received rave reviews.

'It’s an insanely funny piece of work.' ★★★★★ Chortle

'Who would have thought struggling to invent a jingle for a cab company or recording an audition tape for a role in a musical could be so funny?' The Guardian

He played the regular role of William Kempe in Ben Elton's hit show, UPSTART CROW, for three series, whilst his live show, THE AUDITION, was nominated for the 2017 Edinburgh Comedy Award and received glowing reviews. He also wrote and starred in a pilot, THE JONAH MAN, for Cave Bear and Sky One.

Spencer was a writer and star of BBC's BAFTA-nominated show BIG BABIES, and in 2016 his ten minute film SPENCER JONES'S CHRISTMAS was produced by Cave Bear and Tiger Aspect for Sky Comedy's Christmas Shorts; it won Best Scripted Online Short at that year’s Broadcast Digital Awards.

His filmed appearances include Channel 4's CATS DOES COUNTDOWN, the BBC's LIVE AT THE BBC and AL PORTER LIVE AT THE OLYMPIA for RTE2 in Ireland.

Reviews for Spencer's 2017 live show, THE AUDITION:

" With his adorable character and surprises from beginning to end, Jones is, without a doubt, a "must-see". ★★★★★ Comedy Reviewer

"We know Spencer Jones is a master of clowning around with props, but he’s fast evolving into a triple/quadruple/quintuple threat comedian, a man who can extract laughs in many different ways – songs, sketches, anecdotes, crowdwork – all wrapped up with a pathos-flecked childish daftness. He’s one of the Fringe’s purest comic talents." ★★★★★ The Wee Review

Spencer's 2016 live comedy show, THE HERBERT IN EGGY BAGEL,received amazing reviews:

"There are officially 1,170 comedy shows in this year’s Fringe, and countless more not in the programme. But there is only one like Spencer Jones’s." ✭✭✭✭1/2 (4.5 stars) Chortle

"No other Fringe show will put a bigger smile on your face" ✭✭✭✭ Evening Standard

"Eggy Bagel is an hour of joyful, inoffensive silliness which could tickle the coldest of hearts." ✭✭✭✭ The Skinny

"Only those with the stoniest of hearts could fail to fall for The Herbert.✭✭✭✭ The List

His amazing 2015 show Spencer Jones is THE HERBERT IN PROPER JOB had fantastuc reviews and won Best Fringe Show and Best Performer at The Comedians’ Choice Award as well as having a week's sell out run at the Soho Theatre with this "joyful hour of goofery".

"An unlikely hero dressed in white tights and a T-shirt with a photo of a budgie on it. Childlike and cheeky, The Herbert would much rather splurge cash on trinkets from the internet than knuckle under. He’s amassed quite a collection and has more than a few ideas of how he can pass the time with them. His wife and relatives despair of him, he’s a dad after all – and there is something strangely wrong about his baby son! Finding and quickly losing a job in a nuclear power plant, and waiting on hospital results for his son, The Herbert cheers himself with some mucking about of the highest order, using objects from the ordinary to the plain weird in ways beyond what they were intended for. It’s something to do right?"

"Punch you in the gut funny… Possibly the nicest, funniest, silliest, most heart-warming hour you can have this August"
