Sherise Blackman is a writer and actress. Born and raised in South East London, she studied drama at Guildhall School of Music and Drama and the Brit School for Performing arts, where she first discovered her passion for writing.

After 20 years working as a flight attendant, Sherise made the transition into writing during the pandemic. Her debut pilot, GOOD SEX, was recently produced by Listen Entertainment for Audible and is now in further development.

On the television front, Sherise recently co-wrote a pilot for major US producer. Her sitcom series – MISERY LOVES HONEY – is currently in development with Dare Pictures. Most recently, Sherise was part of the writers’ room for a major Sky Atlantic series. 

Sherise has written, produced and has a lead role in her original comedy Web Series, THE NIGHT BUS, which is currently in post production.

Before launching her own projects, Sherise gained experience through working as a writer’s assistant on series 2 of Netflix’s hit show BRIDGERTON.

In 2021, Sherise was shortlisted for the UKTV WriterSlam award. Sherise was selected for The Royal Court’s Playwriting Group in 2020, after she submitted her stage play, TRIGGERED.

Sherise was part of IFT (Independent Film Trust's) ELEVATE programme - Industry Phase.

Her notable acting credits include LINE OF DUTY (BBC), DOCTOR STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS (Marvel), PROFESSOR T (ITV), DOCTORS (BBC), EASTENDERS (BBC).
