Gavin has worked abroad in Iceland, Hungary, Slovakia, Malaysia, Egypt, Finland, Germany, Kosovo, Portugal, Russia (Siberia), South Africa, Spain, Ireland and Norway.

He is a graduate of the National Film & Television School and the recipient of the Freddie Francis Scholarship.
