Sarah grew up on the South East coast of Britain. Her granny taught her to swim in the seas of England and Spain, and when she got over her fear of being underwater, she loved pretending to be a mermaid. She has been making up stories for as long as she can remember. She is a qualified nurse and midwife, but she still listens hard for the whispers of dark tales and strange creatures, waiting to be discovered, just beyond the realms of what can be seen. She recently graduated from Bath Spa University's MA in Writing for Young People.
