Sandra Marrs and John Chalmers

Sandra Marrs and John Chalmers (aka Metaphrog) are a Franco-Scottish duo creating graphic novels for young readers. They met by chance when Sandra moved to Scotland, fell in love and immediately started making comics together. Their acclaimed graphic novels have received multiple Eisner Award nominations, were Highly Commended for The Scottish Children’s Book Awards, and their retelling of The Little Mermaid won The Excelsior Award Junior 2018. In 2016 they won the Sunday Herald Scottish Culture Awards Best Visual Artist. They have delivered 600+ author visits, appeared at many international festivals and love to share their creative process and passion for comics. They live in Glasgow.
