A three part adaptation of Benjamin Myer's novel The Gallows Pole airs on Wednesday 31st May on BBC Two at 9pm. The series, adapted by Shane Meadows, serves as a prequel to Myer's novel and has been described by the BBC as 'Robin Hood meets Peaky Blinders'.
