Rosalind Crone is an award-wining historian specialising in 19th century Britain and criminal justice. She is the author of two major books, Violent Victorians: Popular Entertainment in 19th Century London (2012), and Illiterate Inmates: Educating Criminals in 19th Century England (2022).
Rosalind is professor of history at The Open University, and has previously taught history at the University of Cambridge, where she also completed her PhD. She is a fellow of the Royal Historical Society and the Cambridge Commonwealth Society.
Rosalind is the resident historian on Lady Killers with Lucy Worsley (BBC) and Lady Swindlers with Lucy Worsley (BBC).
