Steffan Donnelly

Steffan Donnelly is the Artistic Director and Joint Chief Executive of Theatr Cymru. He is an award-winning theatre director and an Associate Artist at Shakespeare’s Globe.

After graduating from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, he founded Invertigo Theatre Company which toured productions in the UK and internationally.

His recent work as a director for Theatr Cymru includes Romeo a Juliet (with Shakespeare’s Globe), Huw Fyw, Dawns y Ceirw (with National Dance Company Wales, Wales and Japan Tour), My Name is Rachel Corrie, Ha/Ha, Parti Priodas (Winner of a UK Theatre Award 2024), Rhinoseros, Kiki Cymraeg, Gwlad yr Asyn, and Monologau’r Maes - short films with Dame Siân Phillips.
