Bryher is a London-based writer, originally from Cornwall. Drawing from her experience as a queer woman, she loves to tell character-driven stories, with a comedic edge.
Bryher has been selected for talent schemes such as the New Writers Collective, a scheme run by The TV Foundation in partnership with All3Media, Aluna Labs and the inaugural Channel 4 TV Drama New Writers Scheme (West & South West) as well as being a BAFTA Connect member.
Bryher was selected to write and direct her short film in the Cornish language, Mowes, which is available to watch on iPlayer. The film was selected for UK based and international festivals including: Little Wing Festival, Cornwall Film Festival, Babel Film Festival & Celtic Media Film Festival.
Previously, Bryher co-devised a BBC New Creatives short film, Anoraks, with Miles Sloman. It is also on iPlayer and screened at LOCO & LFF for Free, both at The BFI. She was part of the writer’s room for a BFI young audience fund project, The No Friends Club.
