Shirley Hottier

2021 Winner illustrator of the FAB Prize, Shirley is a French self-taught illustrator with a mixed heritage which spans from Madagascar to France. She lived in many different cities as a child and after she graduated in architecture in Paris, she carried on moving around Europe before landing in Edinburgh. She is the illustrator of “The Poetry World of John Agard”, a poetry collection of legendary Poet John Agard (Otter-Barry, 2025) -WIA  longlisted in 2025- and of “You’ve got This, Little Pangolin” written by Tọlá Okogwu (Simon & Schuster, 2026).
