Anna began writing and performing with the Cambridge Footlights, before training as an actor at LAMDA and working for the last 15 years as an Actor and Writer.
Her acting work for Theatre includes multiple UK No. 1 Theatre Tours, work for The National Theatre, The Park Theatre, Watford Palace Theatre, Mercury Theatre Colchester, York Theatre Royal, alongside TV & Film credits including Flowers (Channel 4 and Netflix), Bad Cramps (Comedy Central), BAFTA-Nominated Black Pond, MARS 1001, Complicit.
Anna’s short film Panic Buy (dir. Ben Caplan) was made during Lockdown and selected for the IndieX Fest in LA, and her stage play Babies was selected as part of Freshfest25 at The Old Red Lion.
Anna also writes with her comedy partner. Their Edinburgh show Anna&Helen: Stuck In a Rat and was described as “comic bliss” by The Guardian and selected as one of their top 20 recommended comedy shows for 2020. Featuring their own original live music (Anna also plays piano, guitar, saxophone and drums), segments of the show were adapted for Channel 4 show, The Paddock as well as the Edinburgh Unlocked audiobook for Penguin, which also featured on BBC Radio. The show then transferred to Soho Theatre for a run in 2022 and they were invited to perform for Nick Mohammed’s Laugh For Leukaemia! fundraiser at Kings Place.
Anna has previously worked with Tiger Aspect on scripted development and is currently working on several new scripts for screen, as well as 2 new plays for stage.
Anna also works as a “Confidence Coach”, helping to develop public speaking and interpersonal skills for adults in the Corporate Sector, as well as working with young people to help build their self-belief and fulfil their potential. She has just developed and delivered a bespoke package to increase ‘confidence, resilience and flexibility’ for North London Collegiate School, by teaching the Art of Stand-Up to their Year 10s, culminating in an End of Term Show.
