Laura grew up in Canada with a passion for stories. She followed this passion to attain an Honours BA in English: Rhetoric and Professional Writing from the University of Waterloo (Canada) and then moved abroad to Wales for an MA in Creative Writing and an adventure – and she never left!
Her career path began with a brief stint in technical writing and marketing copywriting before she wriggled her way into writing and editing award-winning books for adults and children, where she’s been working for the last ten years.
Laura now lives in a lovely coastal town in South Wales with her husband, two young sons, and one big basset hound. She loves finding special stories to tell in the everyday, relatable world of a child (or dog).
