Katherine was made a Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres for her work with Francophone writers on UK stages.

She is a translator of plays written in French. Recent work includes contemporary plays by Togolese-French and Libyan-French writers, and a 1970s contemporary classic French play. Other translations include work from France, Québec and Belgium.

Katherine was the International Literary Associate and then Literary Manager for the Traverse Theatre in Edinburgh from 1999-2012. Initially managing/dramaturging commissions for Artistic Director Philip Howard and then for Artsitic Director Dominic Hill, and working with associate directors John Tiffany, Roxana Silbert and Lorne Campbell.

Prior to that, she was Literary Manager of the Gate Thatre in London, for AD Mick Gordon and assistant to John Barton, Royal Shakespeare Company.
