Amelia is Associate Director of SEARED PRODUCTIONS and has worked as a theatre director for over 15 years all over the world.

As Staff/Associate Director Amelia has worked with Michael Grandage, Ian Glen, Katie Mitchell, David Hare, Joe Hill-Gibbins and Jeremy Herrin. Credits include: GHOSTS at the Duchess Theatre; TWELFTH NIGHT for the Donmar Warehouse, at Wyndham’s; BLISS for the Royal Court; ONE EVENING and FOUR QUARTETS for the Lincoln Centre in New York; AL GRAN SOLE CARICO D’AMORE for Salzburg Opera Festival; SOME TRACE OF HER, THE YEAR OF MAGICAL THINKING and STATEMENT OF REGRET for the National Theatre.

Amelia was the recipient of the Bulldog Princep Director’s Bursary at the National Theatre Studio in 2008 and was on the panel for the Yale playwrighting prize for 6 years.

Amelia is also an award winning filmmaker. In 2024 she was selected as one of the BFI - LFF cohort for The London Film Festival, where her last short film, Ceres also played.

Amelia’s first short film, THREE, starring Matti Houghton and Ken Nwozu, was produced by Long Acre Arts, Seared productions and executive produced by Jodie Whittaker. It is currently available to watch on Directors Notes where it was nominated for best film in 2025.

Her second short film, ‘Ceres’, written by Hannah Morrish, starring Juliet Stevenson and Produced by Kusini Productions was been selected for multiple BIFA, BAFTA and Oscar qualifying festivals, winning best short film at Persona International Film Festival in Barcelona, Best UK short at Wimbledon, Best East Anglian Film at Norwich Film Festival, Best screenplay at The Discover Festival, Best actress, Best supporting actress and Best short film at I will Tell Festival, as well as picking up nominations for Best UK short and Best Women in Film at BAFTA qualifying Bolton Festival. ‘Ceres’ was also selected for the 225 female film club at the BFI and London Film Festival 2024.

Amelia's debut feature of ‘Ceres’ is in development with Fine Line Productions .
