Honey Bee Sends Tom Read Wilson on a Grand Tour for Channel 5

Honey Bee, the indie behind Around The World In First Class, is embarking on another ambitious travel series for Channel 5 — this time with Celebs Go Dating favourite Tom Read Wilson.

Currently in production in association with GroupM Motion Entertainment, The Grand Tour with Tom Read Wilson will see the beloved TV personality retrace the iconic European journeys of the 17th to 19th centuries. These “Grand Tours” were once a rite of passage for young aristocrats, designed to broaden their cultural horizons.

In this modern reimagining, Tom will cross the Alps in a sedan chair, soar above Lake Como in a hot air balloon, and immerse himself in the magic of the Carnevale di Venezia. The series promises a blend of history, elegance, and Tom’s signature charm.

In a unique twist, much of the series has been filmed by Tom himself using a Super 8 camera, adding a nostalgic and personal touch to the journey.

The project follows in the footsteps of BBC Two’s Rob and Rylan’s Grand Tour, but with Tom’s distinct voice and Honey Bee’s creative vision, this promises to be a standout addition to the travel-doc genre.
