Dr Omega Douglas is an academic, writer and journalist. She lectures in the Media, Communications and Cultural Studies Department at Goldsmiths College, University of London, where she leads a degree programme. She has also lectured at New York University. Omega has worked for a range of national and international organisations, including Conde Nast, The Guardian, the BBC, TI Media, Hearst, and the UN. She is co-author of Journalism, Culture and Society (Routledge), and is working on a new book for Routledge, The Racial Dynamics of Reporting Africa: Colonial and Decolonial Practices in Mainstream Western News.
