Laurie first became known for her iconic long-running role of Jane Beale inEastenders(BBC). She then went on to be nominated for a Scottish BAFTA for Best Actress for her role as Christine inWaterloo Road(BBC) in 2014.
More recently, she had a major roles inShetland(ITV),Deadwater Fell(Channel 4) andTraces(BritBox). Also a brilliant stage performer with fantastic vocal range, Laurie has starred in the UK tours ofMum’s The WordandLooking Good Deadand West End musicals such asLes Miserables.
Laurie was most recently seen in the UK tour of smash-hitCalendar Girls.
