Richard Holloway has been awarded the 2013 PEN/Ackerley Prize for Leaving Alexandria: a memoir of faith and doubt.
The prize is awarded for a literary autobiography of excellence, written by an author of British nationality and for which it is felt that J.R. Ackerley would have expressed enthusiasm.
