Celebrated illustrator Sir Quentin Blake has collaborated with the luxury fashion brand Burberry to launch a playful capsule collection; a range of womenswear, menswear and childrenswear adorned with charming illustrations – some unreleased – from the much-loved British artist. Burberry’s Chief Creative Officer Daniel Lee says: ‘Sir Quentin Blake’s illustrations capture a sense of childhood magic. They have a very British style, and we wanted to bring his amazing creations into the world of Burberry.’
In this collection, Blake’s bold hand-drawn motifs are featured across the selection, on printed silk panels on T-shirts, dresses and scarves, embroidered cotton on twill baseball caps and cashmere scarves, and his feather artwork reinterpreted on Burberry’s signature trench coats. All items have the Burberry Knight label finished with the author’s signature.
The release coincided with the opening of Quentin Blake’s Centre for Illustration on Friday 5 June.
