The 6-minute, miniature epic inspired by the closing cut on Alt-J’s new album Relaxer, features costume design by UA’s Mr Gammon, and is directed by Isaiah Seret for Biscuit Films.
Inspired by Richard Llewelyn’s book How Green Was My Valley – a story chronicling a family’s hopes that their son will be afforded a better life, set in a small mining town in 19th century Wales – the film weaves in references to Tarkovsky’s The Sacrifice within the trappings of a period drama.
