Kneehigh’s new show, THE WILD BRIDE by Carl Grose (one of the founding members of the company), has opened at the Lyric Hammersmith before embarking on a tour across the UK.
Based on a Hungarian folk tale, it continues the company’s tradition of combining an eclectic mix of styles to create their unique brand of mythic storytelling; incorporating elements of fairytales, live music and dark humour.
Carl Grose’s text and lyrics are both darkly chucklesome and extremely deft.
