Rachel O’Riordan has made her directorial debut as Artistic Director of the Lyric with this brilliant adaptation of Henrick Ibsen’s A Doll’s House, written by Tanika Gupta.
Tanika Gupta reimagines Ibsen’s classic play of gender politics through the lens of British colonialism, offering a bold, female perspective exploring themes of ownership and race. United Agents’ clients Lily Arnold is the set designer and Gregory Clarke desinged the sound.
The Guardian’s Michael Billington gave it 4 stars, his full review is available to read here.
