Biography

Lloyd Griffith is a working class actor, comedian and presenter from Grimsby.

As an actor Lloyd’s screen credits include starring as series lead Colin Cartwright in hit series ‘Return to Paradise’ for BBC One/ABC. He also appears in all three series of Emmy Award winning ‘Ted Lasso’ (Apple), Russell T Davies’ new series ‘Nolly’ in which he plays much loved ‘Benny’ aka ‘Paul Henry’ from Crossroads, opposite Helena Bonham Carter (ITV), Bad Education’ (BBC Three), ‘Everyone Else Burns’ (C4), ‘It’s a Sin’ (C4), ‘Not Going Out’ (BBC One) and feature film ‘Infinite’.

Lloyd was awarded the Screen Actors Guild Award Honours for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series for Ted Lasso Series 2.

Lloyd is a regular host on Classic FM and co-hosted ‘Soccer AM’ live every Saturday morning for 2 years on Sky One alongside John Fendley and Jimmy Bullard. He also co-hosted comedy action game show ‘Flinch’ alongside Desiree Burch and Seann Walsh for Netflix. A sporting fan he presented the critically acclaimed BBC documentary ‘Can You Beat The Bookies?’ where he embarked on an experiment to find out if he could uncover the secrets of gambling success (4 stars, The Guardian).

Lloyd has supported Jack Whitehall on both his 2017, 2019/2020 and 2023 tours playing iconic UK venues including Liverpool Echo, Newcastle Metro, Manchester, Leeds, London O2 and Wembley Arenas. Lloyd has embarked on five of his own nationwide solo tours, his most recent show ‘Baroque and Roll’ which played 48 dates nationwide. His previous show ‘One Tonne Of Fun’ was filmed and is available to watch on ITVX.
