Biography

Alex began his career in stand-up comedy as a finalist in the 1998 Channel 4 competition ‘So You Think You’re Funny?’ His career then moved into television; starting at MTV he hosted the daily live show TRL:UK before moving to Channel 4 to become part of the acclaimed prank show Balls of Steel and then hosting T4’s Popworld and late night comedy show Rude Tube for ten series.

His work in the world of film has made Alex the go-to-guy to host the London Premieres for the world’s biggest blockbusters, most recently the premieres for Mission Impossible 8, Havoc, and Thursday Murder Club.

An accomplished radio broadcaster, Alex hosted London’s Xfm Breakfast Show for three years and currently presents his weekly podcasts Just the Facts and the award-winning Clash of the Titles. He currently hosts the Savoy Hotel’s podcast The Savoy Originals where he has interviewed Gordon Ramsay, Nick Mohammed and Rob Brydon among others.

His writing credits include ITV’s BAFTA winning comedy The Sketch Show, Channel 4’s The 11 O’clock Show and he currently has a drama series Trash Fish in development with Three Tables Productions.
