Sarah graduated in English and Drama from Goldsmiths College in 1991 with a BA (Hons) (II.I) in English and Drama. Whilst at London University and subsequently, she worked with many theatre producers/theatres including:- Bill Kenwright Ltd., Robert Fox Ltd and the Theatre Royal in Brighton. In 1996 she was one of twelve invited on the first Directors Course run by The Royal National Theatre Studio.  She was an Associate Director at the West Yorkshire Playhouse.
