WhatsOnStage Award Nominations 2018

The nominations for the 16th annual WhatsOnStage awards have been announced, with UA clients receiving multiple nominations. 

In the category for Best Actor in A Play, Andrew Scott is nominated for his role in Hamlet.

Olivia Colman and Natalie Dormer are both up for Best Actress In a Play for the Mosquitoes and Venus in Fur respectively.

Danny Mac is nominated for Best Actor In A Musical for his role as Joe Gills in Sunset Boulevard.

In the Best New Play category, we have a number of productions nominated, featuring a wealth of clients. Gloria, with Colin Morgan and Sian Clifford, Ink Directed by Rupert Goold, with Jonathan Coy and was cast by Anne McNulty. Oslo, starring Toby Stephens, Jonah Lotan and with Associate Director Oscar Toeman and The Ferryman starring Genevieve O’Reilly, Dearbhla Molloy, Sarah Greene and Catherine McCormack.

Hamlet with Angus Wright and Andrew Scott, and Don Juan in Soho starring Danielle Vitalis, David Jonsson and Associate Director Audrey Sheffield are both up for Best Play Revival.

Hair directed by Jonathan O’Boyle is up for both Best Musical Revival and Best Off-West End Production. Also up for Best Off-West End is La Ronde, adapted and directed by Max Gill and Wild Party, starring Melanie Bright

Up for Best Regional Production is Sunset Boulevard with Danny Mac, and The Addams Family starring Les Dennis as Uncle Fester.

Finally, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is up for Best West End Show, starring Tom Milligan.
