Loveday is a theatre director and adapter who has directed plays in the West End, for the RSC and regionally throughout the UK and internationally, several of which have been nominated and won awards. These include her adaptation of The Rover for the RSC, My One and Only and Pal Joey for Chichester Festival Theatre, and Boston Marriage and Hysteria in Dublin. She was Associate Director at Chichester Festival Theatre for three years and has directed arts festivals.

She recently directed the world premier of a new Frank McGuinness play, Dinner With Groucho, which headlined the Dublin Theatre Festival and Belfast International Festival to critical acclaim.

Alongside theatre work she has produced, written and directed a short film with which was selected to represent Women’s Aid internationally for the campaign for Elimination of Violence Against Women in 2020 and has since been commissioned to adapt and direct a six-part TV series for SK Productions.

She was the original Assistant Director on the stage musical Mamma Mia. She has an MA in Classics and before working in theatre worked in marketing for the Financial Times.
