Victoria Sandoy

Children's Author/Illustrator

Biography

Victoria grew up in the outskirts of Sarpsborg, Norway. Having the forest as the closest neighbor and a dachshund that needed walks, nature has become one of her earliest influences.

Later grew an avid love for folklore, fantasy and animation, especially watching the “behind the scenes” on every DVD. She therefor particularly enjoys playing with movement in her work, along with lighting and atmosphere.

After graduating from Falmouth University in 2018 with a BA Hons in illustration she’s been working with a number of publishers in both Norway and UK, and has illustrated two picture books written by Julia Donaldson.

When not working on books, Victoria enjoys cooking, running, reading and drinking lots and lots of coffee.
