Biography

Tessa Walker is a director and dramaturg.

Recent work includes Fatherland by Nancy Farino (Hampstead Theatre), Joan by Robert Hyman (Stratford East), Mrs Bibi by Waleed Akhtar (Audible), Run, Rebel by Manjeet Mann (Pilot Theatre, tour), Bright Places by Rae Mainwaring (Birmingham Rep and tour) Northanger Abbey adapt. By Zoe Cooper (The Orange Tree Theatre and tour), Biscuits for Breakfast by Gareth Farr (Hampstead Theatre)

Other productions include Symphony of Us by Paul O’Donnell (Coventry Cathedral, Coventry City of Culture) and The Glad Game by Phoebe Frances Brown (Nottingham Playhouse, tour and film)

She was Associate Director at Hampstead Theatre from 2021 – 2023 where she directed Ravenscourt by Georgina Burns and Big, Big, Sky by Tom Wells.

As Associate Director at Birmingham Repertory Theatre productions included Circles by Rachel De-Lahay, Back Down by Steven Camden, The Whip Hand by Douglas Maxwell, Looking for John by Tony Timberlake, Folk by Tom Wells and The Quiet House by Gareth Farr.
