Annabelle is best known for her role as ‘Violet Buckle’ in the BBC’s long-running series CALL THE MIDWIFE. She has had numerous roles in a wide range of TV series including the guest lead of ‘Beattie May’ in BBC’s beloved show FATHER BROWN, ‘Betty Callaway’ in ITV’s biopic TORVILL AND DEAN, directed by Gillies MacKinnon and ‘Lillian Hobbs’ in Left Bank Pictures’ 1940s drama THE HALCYON. Film credits include: IRONCLAD directed by Jonathan English, ABOUT A BOY directed by Paul & Chris Weitz and FROM HELL directed by Alan & Albert Hughes. Notable stage credits include A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE at Liverpool Everyman (Dir: Gemma Bodinetz) and ABINGDON SQUARE at the National Theatre (Dir: Nancy Meckler). Annabelle has also frequently performed for BBC Radio.
