Aiko Mila Beemsterboer (2003) is a talented young Dutch actress.

Making her debut aged 9 in the feature film LEVE BOERENLIEFDE (2013), Aiko’s career has gone strength to strength; recently earning a Dutch Academy Award nomination for ‘Best Supporting Actress’ in the romantic comedy SO WHAT IS LOVE (WAT IS DAN LIEFDE) (2020).

Recent roles include Loïs in Aniëlle Webster’s ALL INCLUSIVE (2023) and Anne Frank in Ben Sombogaart’s feature MY BEST FRIEND ANNE FRANK (MIJN BESTE VRIENDIN ANNE FRANK) (2022). The latter, which after a successful theatrical release, reached the ‘second most watched film worldwide’ in its first week on Netflix.

Aiko’s first leading role was in the award-winning feature FIGHT GIRL (VECHTMEISJE) (2018) in which she played Bo. Receiving the ‘Young Audience Award’ at the European Film Awards in 2019, the ‘ECFA Award’ at the BUFF International Film Festival and the ‘Audience Award’ and the ‘Cinekid Film Award’ at Cinekid, Aiko was praised by critics for her powerful performance.  

She was a series regular on the hit show OOGAPPELS for multiple seasons and also appeared in HET-A-WOORD (2020) and LIEVE MAMA (2020).

Aiko has a natural flair for accents, able to deliver a flawless UK and US accent in performance.
