Simon Williams

Writer / Actor

Biography

Simon Williams began his writing career as a translator of the French boulevarde comedies, Croque Monsieur and Cactus Flower. Both his novels Talking Oscars and Kill The Lights, (published by Heinnemann) were in the best sellers’ list. He has written five original stage plays that have all been successfully produced in the UK and internationally, notably Nobody’s Perfect and its sequel Nobody’s Fool which had world-wide acclaim as feel-good romantic comedies. Two stage thrillers Kiss of Death and Double Death have had popular success.

His screenplays of Michael Stewart’s novel Far Cry and of his own Talking Oscars have never yet made it to the cameras. He has written a number of short stories and many features for The Telegraph Magazine and for The Guardian.

His latest play Someone Else’s Love Story is due in production next year.
