Sian McWilliams

Sian is Creative Director at Left Bank Pictures, after working as Head of Development at Wild Mercury, Derek Wax’s label within Endemol. Prior to that she worked with Derek on the second series of the hit Kudos/C4 series HUMANS, which she script edited.

Sian started her career at The Writers’ Company, working with writers like Emma Frost, Stephen Russell and Lisa McGee. After some freelance work as a production secretary and development assistant for Hat Trick Productions, working mostly on Tom Bidwell and Mark Catley’s project THE EGGBOX, she moved to Slim Film & Television.

At Slim, Sian was senior development coordinator and then assistant script editor on LEGACY, Paula Milne’s single for BBC2. At Slim, Sian also worked with writers including Jessica Hynes, Sean Conway and her future HUMANS colleagues, Sam Vincent and Jonathan Brackley.

On leaving Slim, Sian script edited CALL THE MIDWIFE (BBC) and MR SELFRIDGE (ITV ), as well as working on original developments at ITV Studios.

Sian is a proud Northerner who knows that all good writer relationships start with a damn good brew.
