Sherise Blackman is a writer and actress. Born and raised in South East London, she studied drama at Guildhall School of Music and Drama and the Brit School for Performing arts, where she first discovered her passion for writing.
After 20 years working as a flight attendant, Sherise made the transition into writing during the pandemic.
Her original scripted audio series, DO NOT DISTURB debuted to rave reviews and she is now writing S2. Sherise plays the lead role.
She also has several television projects currently in development.
Sherise recently co-wrote a pilot for major US producer and was also part of the writers’ room for a major Sky Atlantic series.
Sherise has written, produced and has a lead role in her original comedy Web Series, THE NIGHT BUS, which is currently in post production.
Before launching her own projects, Sherise gained experience through working as a writer’s assistant on series 2 of Netflix’s hit show BRIDGERTON.
In 2021, Sherise was shortlisted for the UKTV WriterSlam award. Sherise was selected for The Royal Court’s Playwriting Group in 2020, after she submitted her stage play, TRIGGERED.
Sherise was part of IFT (Independent Film Trust’s) ELEVATE programme – Industry Phase.

Sherise will soon be seen in a great role in upcoming Channel 4 drama MAYA.
She will also soon appear in the next series of a smash hit Netflix series.
After appearing as PS Ruby Jones in the critically acclaimed series LINE OF DUTY on BBC One, Sherise has had the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including PROFESSOR T on ITV, popular daytime drama DOCTORS, THE MARLOW MURDER CLUB, Netflix hit series BRIDGERTON, and Marvel’s DOCTOR STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS.
Her journey began with formal training at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and The BRIT School.
In addition to her acting career, Sherise is a successful writer. Her original scripted audio series, DO NOT DISTURB debuted to rave reviews and she is now writing S2. Sherise plays the lead role.
