Biography

Scott Le Crass is an award winning working class, queer director and dramaturg from Birmingham.
 
He trained as an actor at Arts Ed and and was a director on the Birmingham Rep’s first Foundry Programme in 2011. In 2022, he completed the National Theatre Studio Directors Course.
 
He is an Associate Director for Pleasure Dome Theatre Company and has directed all of their productions to date including A Christmas Carol and A Midsummer Night’s Dream. 
 
Scott directed the Off Com award winning digital revival of Rose by Martin Sherman starring Maureen Lipman (Hope Mill Theatre/Sky Arts/Broadway HD). In 2023 he was nominated for Best Creative West End Debut at The Stage Awards for his production of Rose. In 2022, he received an Off West End and Broadway World nomination for Best Director for Rose. In 2024 Rose won an Off West End award for Best Solo Performance. 
 
Additionally, in 2025 his production of Wormholes won Off West End Award and in 2023, Scott’s Vault Festival production’s of Buff and Thirsty received an Off Fest nomination. Scott’s revival production of Simon Stephen’s, Country Music won an Off West End award in 2020. He received a Best Director Offie and Broadway World Nomination for his productions of Sid and a Best Director Offie Nomination for Kicked in the Sh**ter. Alice in Wonderland was a runner up and a finalist for two What’s On Birmingham Awards.
